Sprint Six!


Pre-Alpha Fixes, Online Multiplayer, and Updates

It was another busy sprint! We had a very good playtest session last week in which all playtesters seem to enjoy the game so far. We sadly were not able to make the fish level playable due to some bugs and most of the environment art was not done either. Most of our feedback talked about the fish not being as fun as the cat and the movement needing some tweaking in general. We were able to change most of that so we hope the fish is as fun to play as the cat now! Another issue was the camera movement was still not enjoyable, but we are sure now that is better and smoother. Our level designer has worked hard to make the game feel more fun and has added and refined the cat level even more such as adding respawning platforms. He has also added events to the fish level which we hope next playtest people can play in. Our online multiplayer is now at an MVP state and while it can be more refined, we are happy it has reached this state! We also added more gore through bloody particles and body parts particles. We also managed to add particle effects to make the regular movement more fun to play in. Lastly, we have made it our goal to make alternate versions of cat and fish! These alternate versions are done and will be implemented by the next playtest session!
